In life’s uncertainty, it can feel as if we are carrying the weight of the world. There is no manual for parents nor caregivers, and the pressure to do it “the right way” is overwhelming. There are no perfect families, and perfect kids make mistakes. We all miss the mark, but it’s what we do next that matters. Learning to be at peace with where we are today and teaching our children to do the same allows us to move forward and live more joyful and fulfilling lives.
I am a retired SBISD Professional School Counselor. I have had the privilege of working with families in times of great celebration and in times of tremendous tragedy. In my 28 years of public education, I spent six years as a high school counselor, 11 years as a middle school counselor, and five years as an elementary school counselor. I’ve counseled kids ages 4 to 18. In addition, I’ve helped their parents and teachers navigate the challenges that come with raising kind, happy and well-adjusted human beings.
We are not meant to go through life alone. I love getting to do this work because I have always cared about those around me. I was born and raised in Houston, and I grew up in a blended family. I have been married 22 years, and my husband and I have one son. When you’re ready, I look forward to walking alongside you in your life’s journey.

What is Wellness Coaching?
Wellness coaching differs from counseling in that it focuses primarily on identifying specific needs, setting future-oriented goals, and creating actionable steps toward meaningful change.
While wellness coaching recognizes the importance of understanding past experiences, its primary focus is helping clients move forward. Counseling often places greater emphasis on healing past wounds, whereas coaching is designed to empower clients to build skills, create healthy habits, and achieve their personal and professional goals.
