Corlischa

I am qualified and registered as a counselor in South Africa where I practiced for several years prior to moving to the U.S. Over the past decade I’ve worked on the pastoral team at a local church in Houston where I’ve pastored people through various life and spiritual challenges.

My multi-cultural background has shaped my desire to meet people where they are at and help them transition through seasons or hardship to places of lasting hope, healing and wholeness. This desire has also led me back to the therapy room.

I hold a Bachelors in Educational Psychology and a Masters in Education from Stellenbosch University as well as a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I also hold a LPC-A license from the state of Texas and work under supervision of Katie Adams, M.Ed., LPC-S.

My own experiences have contributed to my desire to work with individuals who face crisis, grief, transitions in relationships or life circumstances, as well as those who struggle with anxiety or fear. My hope is that we can work together on strategies that will equip you to address some of the root issues in a meaningful way. I also enjoy working with married couples or those planning on getting married by helping them prepare for a lasting marriage. I mostly use CBT, narrative therapy or incorporate mindfulness practices, but I believe that the therapeutic relationship, trust and a safe environment are key to success in counseling.

Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters. We love the outdoors and will find our way to the beach on any free day.
